Funny story

This was way too funny in person. We hear all the time how tough it is to explain Heaven, or how babies are made, or what death means to a child. Owen has had some of those questions, but the most difficult question for us to explain so far was a Star Wars-focused question a couple weeks ago: "Mommy, is Anakin good or mean?" (Is he ready to know that nice Anakin becomes sinister Darth?!) He knows Obi is good. Yoda is good. Darth Vader is bad. Hmmmmm... So Daddy came up with "Anakin is good, but he makes some bad choices and does some mean things, but then he stops being mean and he's good again."

So today, out of the clear blue while "training" with lightsabers, he says to me, "I'm Anakin 'cause I make bad choices." Ha!
