Halloween

Our Halloween festivities began the day before with Owen's school parade and party. Owen was such a good listener that when the teachers asked the students to take off their coats and hang them up before the parade began, he took off his Jedi Robe! But he was still sporting his Anakin Padawan braid. He loved the parade experience!

Halloween morning....some Jack O Lantern chocolate chip pancakes.

We went to a rainy Halloween parade in the adjacent town. Owen wanted to put on his Obi-Wan costume from last year, and Charlotte played the part of a chicken.

The parade IS the high school marching band...that's pretty much it, but then all the local kiddies get to march behind the band and be a part of the parade!

Time to go Trick or Treating! Our Jedis are ready to go!

Owen had his lines down pat: "Tick or Treat....Thank you....Happy Halloween." He really enjoyed himself. And Charlotte enjoyed taking a piece of candy, opening her bag, and dropping it in over and over again. They had a good time together!

It was so sweet to have Owen stay up with us to hand out the candy to the Trick or Treaters. They would come to the driveway, and he'd say "Wow, your costumes are scary!" no matter what they were wearing. He would also say "You can take a couple (pieces of candy)...that means two." He was LOVING it and waited on the steps for them to approach.

Too cute - and I love that Owen was polite and that he liked handing out candy -- that's my favorite part too!
