Little travelers

The kiddies did a bit of traveling West...well, sort of. We reconnected with friends and family in PA and Ohio we don't see but a couple times a year.

First stop, the momentous occasion of Jackson's first birthday party!

Charlotte does love all of her family members, truly. But she has a special connection with Uncle Josh and it's been that way since we can remember!


Owen "reading" his Star Wars book. It's a very detailed book about Anakin/Darth Vader, and Owen just summarizes the general Star Wars plot. He's pretty passionate about it when he reads... He read this book to family members and friends about five times over the course of a few days. And he was SO excited to do it!


We trekked out to Ohio to visit Stacey, Gene, Mia and Ella. (And puppy Hayden, Charlotte's favorite person in the house perhaps!) The kiddies shared and played so wonderfully. They played together like they had just seen one another last week! Highlights: the laundry chute, Charlotte eating dog food, the Wii competitions, and jumping on the bed.

We continued on to Erie to visit some of Mama's side of the family. We got to see most everyone which was awesome since we were there for only the afternoon!

Owen spent a lot of time "reading" his Star Wars book to Aunt Caroline and completing puzzles.

And we finished off our tour of the Ohio/PA border with a quick but worthwhile stop in Edinboro. Thanks to Uncle John and Aunt Linda for their hospitality and conversation, as always! And to Jill... she "schooled" Owen a bit on the drum set... before 8am!
