Acadia Day Four

We planned an ambitious hike for our fourth day! At Owen's insistence, we not only hiked up Penobscot Mountain, but we added neighboring Sargent Mountain as well. In total over 4 hours and almost 5 miles. Owen's leadership was amazing, and Charlotte was so persistent she hiked all but the last two miles.

At the summit of Penobscot Mountain!
We made it to the top of Sargent Mountain- second highest in Acadia!

For the final 1.5 miles of our hike we got pummeled with rain! Thankfully we were off the mountain trail by the time the steady rain started- we only had to walk a carriage road back to the car. And surprisingly we laughed most of the way, even Eliza-- we got soaked!
