The kiddies began Christmas morning by opening up stocking presents. (We did not have to put on the "Yule Log" via television this year!)
After pausing for breakfast, the kiddies continued their fun with the gifts under the tree.
The kiddies stopped opening gifts after each unwrapping to play a bit with what they received. Eliza had asked Santa for Playdough and played with it for hours!
Daddy made these very special gifts for Owen and Charlotte. They resemble the trail markers found in Acadia. Owen's favorite (and most challenging) trail is the Precipice Trail up Champlain Mountain. And Charlotte hiked the entire Cadillac North Ridge Trail this past summer- all the way to the top of the highest mountain in Acadia.
Charlotte finished her Lego in no time!
Eliza also loved playing with her Nativity.
Owen's Lego set was built by day's end as well...
And we capped off the day with S'mores in the fireplace!
