Acadia: Day 9

Since there were low clouds, our crew stayed low to the ground but had some new adventures!

We first visited one of Mama's favorite old cemeteries on the Island...

We then explored Little Hunter's Beach for the first time ever!  (Not to be confused with Hunter's Beach).

There were some enormous rocks and cliffs for the kiddies to explore.

Lastly we explored the Thuya Gardens and Lodge/Asticou Terraces near Northeast Harbor.
We didn't end up visiting the gardens but we did enjoy the hike up with views of the Harbor from all of the architectural resting spots...
Because we hiked up the Terraces to the Lodge and Garden, we were able to access a hiking trail that led us to Eliot Mountain!
We got to explore the Lodge as well, which was a personal Summer Cottage until the early 1900s.
