Owen is 8!

Our sweet baby boy turned 8... EIGHT! Owen enjoyed a mellow birthday, which began the evening before when we had a surprise "party" for him and a few of his good buddies.   They had dinner, played around a bit and enjoyed popcorn and a movie.

He really had no clue they were coming...

Owen's request this year for his birthday cake was inspired by his trip to Hershey, PA: Hershey's chocolate cake, vanilla icing, and decorated with Hershey's Kisses and white chocolate pieces.

Birthday morning gifts! Charlotte was very excited to share her homemade card... and to give him some new sewing supplies!

FaceTime with Daddy at work at 8:22am... Owen is pretty precise about the exact moment he turns eight!

We went into Daddy's school for lunch and played on the playground there. We returned home to dig for worms...of course.

Owen's final request of the day was to play a round of mini-golf.
