Valley Forge

The kiddies decided it was time to head back to Valley Forge. We started with a picnic and explored a well-loved portion of the trail.

 The highlight of Charlotte's trip was getting to see two horses!

 Oh we can't get enough of this face...

We then explored a new portion of Valley Forge for us: Washington's Headquarters (and the once used Reading Railroad Station). 

The kiddies enjoyed a glimpse inside the house used by George Washington...

As we headed away from the Headquarters, we heard a loud rumbling sound... a freight train passed the Station!  The tracks are still in use!
