It was only a matter of time before Eliza got out of the carrier to hike it herself. It's really bittersweet for Mama and Daddy... we love carrying babies on the trails, but we do it so that when they get old enough we hope they are itching to do it themselves and to love hiking as much as we do. These "first steps" hiking moments do not disappoint (even if they do slow us down!) Our bet is Eliza will hike at least half of the mileage up here this year herself (if not more.)
Eliza reached the South Bubble summit and she was so proud of herself!
On to North Bubble...
We stopped by the Stables on the way back to the house...
Then the kiddies enjoyed the Seat Harbor Beach for the rest of the afternoon...
Daddy found a crab and we named him Dobey... the kiddies had a hard time setting him free. (Ask to see the video sometime).
