Hiking the AT at the Pinnacle and the Pulpit

The kiddies enjoyed their grandest Appalachian Trail hike yet-  a 9 mile loop that takes you up to what is considered the best view in Pennsylvania along the AT.  The weather was phenomenal and the kiddies really used their hiking legs on this long hike.

In stretches of the Trail there were a lot of rocks and boulders which really reminded our crew of Acadia.

Approaching the Pulpit Rock lookout.

Approaching the Pinnacle lookout there is a huge hiker-made cairn.

The Pinnacle.

In addition to finding this injured butterfly and placing it safely off the path, Charlotte found and carried dozens of caterpillars all along the way!
