Acadia Day 2

We began our day hiking Champlain Mountain using two different ascents... Eliza and Mommy on the Orange and Black Path up the Northern side of Champlain, and Owen, Daddy and Charlotte using the Precipice Trail. Precipice is a very challenging trail and Charlotte was up for the challenge...such a capable hiker! It's usually closed for nesting when we vacation in June and early July, but it opened up last week!

 First the Precipice Trail hikers:

Daddy wanted to film one of the bridge crossings on the trail, but after Owen recorded this...

...Daddy thought it would be best to rerecord it...for Mommy's sake! (One must take the challenges on Precipice seriously!)

Meanwhile Eliza and Mommy took a gentler (although still steep!) path up the other ridge:
We found SO many blueberries on our hike that our family filled a quart-sized bag!

She made it and led Mommy the entire way!

We waited to see Daddy, Owen and Charlotte summit their trail...

To make it back to the car we had to hike just the beginning of the Precipice Trail...just enough that Eliza felt included in the challenging hike!

It was clearly too easy for her.

We then went to the Coast around Great Head for another hike.

And we finished our day at the Seal Harbor Beach
