Acadia- Day 1

The kiddies were so excited to add another new adventure to our annual hiking vacation in Acadia...camping!  We camped at Blackwoods Campground for two nights.

Setting up camp the night before...

Our first morning we took the connector trail from the campground to the Cadillac South Ridge Trail. Nothing like starting vacation with an 8-mile hike up the tallest peak!

Pretty anti-climactic at the summit with no summit marker, but enjoying a snack and the view nonetheless!

After such a long hike we decided to relax around the campfire and grill a simple dinner (and dessert!)
