We began our day at a Ranger Program: Peregrine Watch. The peregrine falcons use the Champlain Mountain cliffs to nest, and the Mama and three babies were flying around.
Owen and Charlotte were working on their Junior Ranger books having attended the Ranger Program. They had to complete a small check list to earn their Junior Ranger badges...
We then went hiking up Dorr Mountain via the Kurt Dederich's Climb (inscribed on the step beginning the path) and Schief Path. They were new trails up to the summit for us!
Summit!
Oh Eliza, she knows how to have fun!
Why does Eliza hike down the mountain in just a diaper? Oh yeah, because she was soaked from all of her "fun."
After we finished the hike as a family, the boys started up the Ladder Trail that took them partially up Dorr Mountain again. Owen loves the "iron rung" trails! The girls had some fun on the ground and waited for them to return.
Together again at the bottom of the mountain, the kiddies stopped into the Nature Center to present their completed Junior Ranger activities to one of the Park Rangers... and they became Junior Rangers!!!
One more stop for the day at the Seal Harbor Beach.

So cool that after all these years you still find new trails and adventures!! Those summit views are so amazing! My kids think those iron rung trails look pretty cool too!
