Acadia: Day Four

Our family planned a long hike on the Amphitheater Trail, leading up to a little-known summit called Cedar Swamp Mountain. This trail route was brand new to our family, and we wanted to beat the rain- which we did! The trail was mostly in the woods and along brooks (so we fought the bugs), but it also took us on the carriage roads, and to two carriage road bridges, including the Amphitheater Bridge, the largest bridge constructed.

At the summit of Cedar Swamp Mountain...we enjoyed the views for about five minutes before the fog rolled in.  But even the fog is an amazing sight!

We are so thankful to Raffi for his song "Willoughby Wallaby Woo."  Nearly endless entertainment on the trails!
