Acadia: Day Three

The kiddies were excited for another ambitious hike: combining Gorham Mountain Trail (which we hadn't hiked since 2009) with the Beehive and Bowl Trails. We also took the Cadillac Cliffs connector on the Gorham Mountain Trail and enjoyed a lot of the rock faces and caves along the way!

The kiddies check out a plaque dedicated to one of the "pathmakers" of Acadia.

Eliza could not wait to get out and hike the summit of Gorham!

On to the Beehive Trail!   Owen and Charlotte are such competent hikers on this daring trail...

After the summit, there was just no stopping Eliza from hiking to the Bowl... she wanted to do everything just like the big kiddies.

Enjoying the water of the Bowl.

The kiddies also enjoyed hitching a ride on the Island Explorer bus to make it back to where we parked our car!

We ended our day with some shenanigans on the lawn of the Jordan Pond House.
