Acadia: Day Eight

The kiddies enjoyed a full day of activities outside... No rain!

We left the house intending to go on a little hike, but when we drove a bit we saw blue sky! So we switched our plans immediately to hike up Champlain Mountain. We saw there was still cloud cover/fog at the summit, but we didn't care! Half of the hike was sunny!

As we ascended it gradually got foggier... a very cool experience!  (Nothing new to Acadia though).

The kiddies spent their time at the summit in different ways...

Obviously on the descent... the visibility gives it away .

The kiddies continued their adventures by taking another trail... this one we had never taken before:  Murphy Lane to Schooner Head Overlook.

Schooner Head...

Exploring a cave at low tide...

And finally the kiddies capped off their adventurous day by walking a carriage road to Jordan Pond and the Shore Path...

This man loves to run... in hiking boots...with three kiddies.  And they love it!
