The summit! Kind of anti-climactic in that you hike up to 1,532 feet and there is no real summit marker. You meet the parking area where motorists can travel up to the summit... but the views at the top are amazing!
The plaque honoring Stephen Mather, the "father" of the National Park Service in America.
Upon Mather's death, the NPS placed a plaque at every National Park... Daddy's goal is that he and Mama visit as many of the plaques as possible (even if we wait until retirement.)
After our morning of fun, we went down to the Seal Harbor beach to relax a bit and explore.
Shells, shells, shells!
