Acadia Day 8

The kiddies hiked a ton today!  Only about half of it was planned, and the other was spontaneous decisions to extend some trails.  All total 7 hours of hiking!

We began on our favorite Penobscot Mountain Trail early in the morning...

We had the summit to ourselves the entire time.

We descended along the Deer Book Trail, which travels all the way to Jordan Pond. We got to pass under the Deer Brook Carriage Road Bridge first.

Our hike on the shore of the Pond was over a mile...

After a quick lunch around the pond we were back on the trails-  the Jordan Stream Trail- to go visit the Cobblestone Carriage Road Bridge.

We walked some quiet carriage roads to the Asticou Path which ended our beautiful day.
